About Jess
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist through the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists. I received my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary’s University, an AAMFT approved and COMAFTE accredited program. I also received specialized training in non-directive play therapy, sand tray therapy, art therapy, and somatic experiencing. I specialize in trauma-based work with children, teens, adults, couple, and families.
Areas of specialty include foster care and adoption, early childhood mental health, abuse and trauma, difficult life transitions, family conflict, attachment concerns, anxiety, and depression. As an attachment based and systemic therapist, I believe that therapy is most successful when the client, family and therapist are working collaboratively.
I believe that it is my role as a therapist to create a safe and trusting relationship with clients and to build upon existing strengths to empower clients to achieve their goals.
